Antepartum Doula Services

While doula services are typically thought of in the realms of labor, birth, and postpartum, women often require support before the baby arrives. Women with high risk pregnancies, who are on bed rest, or for some other reason are not able to meet the demands of their lives and families, can benefit greatly from the presence and help of a caring and non-judgmental individual.
Depending on your needs, services may include:
- Light housekeeping
- Simple meal preparation
- Local errands
- Referrals to local support professionals, including massage therapists, acupuncturists, support groups, chiropractors, etc.
- Support for family, including care for children
- Companionship
- Free lending library from my collection of birth videos and pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and parenting books
- Organizing the home for the arrival of the baby
